Sunday School

The C.S.I. Sunday School THOTTAVARAM has been sowing the seed of Christianity in its younger members, since its inception in 1983. At our Sunday Classes, we aim at making Christian learning a fruitful experience for the children and one that they can relate to in their daily lives. With this objective in mind,the Sunday School has chosen James 4:10 as its theme for this year. It reads “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up”

Our goal for the Sunday School is to help children know and love Jesus; to have an opportunity to get to know each other, to feel at home in the church and to become involved members of our church family and our society.

Vacation Bible School: A ten day intense but fun program that presents Jesus to the children of our Sunday School and guests.

On Sunday morning, our children gather at 10:15 a.m. at the CSI THOTTAVARAM Church. They participate in praise and worship and learn from the word of God. Presently, 15 teachers attend to over 160 students, who are grouped according to their School grades..

Our Sunday School also boasts of a library, which stocks over 100 biblical books, for the enjoyment of the little ones. In addition to regular classes, we have a District Talent competition in July , conducted by the Perumkadavila Disrict. Here the children are able to showcase their talent in Music, Elocution, the Arts and Sports. The CSI Thottavaram Church, Sunday School had been ranked and come up in the 1st  position continuously for the past 5 years in the District Arts Competition. In 2019, the Sunday School had been topped first with 330 points.

With the other activities, in 2019 World Sunday School Week was conducted from 2019 October 27 to November 3 with more than 10 programmes. Visit our Facebook profile to see our further activities.
